Arcana Kira Zero tells the origin story before the events of the first Arcana Kira game.  Born as Akari Kimura, she was only 9 years old when her parents were killed by the interstellar syndicate known as the Kuvarian.  From that point, she single purposely set out to avenge their deaths.   After 6 long years of hell she began executing and literally collecting each of their heads for the reward money using the alias “Arcana Kira.” She used the “head” credits to stockpile a huge arsenal of weapons and eventually an interstellar spaceship. Armed with ever increasing technology and the will for revenge, she decapitated every last Kuvarian without remorse or sympathy.  With her vengeance finally fulfilled, Arcana felt accomplished and yet at the same time devoid of further purpose.  Akari Kimura was long dead, and in her place was a damaged, complicated person who had spent almost half her life seeking revenge.  It took her awhile, but eventually she seemed to find a purpose in disposing of dangerous criminals.  If you were to ask her why she does it, she would say that it’s all about earning enough credits to retire on her own paradise class world. Perhaps that is the case, but her true motivation could be to try and save others from the type of hell she endured… not that she would ever admit that.
